Rola is a Human Rights activist focusing on women and children’s rights mainly in refugee camps and subjected to mental and physical abuse. She has a degree in both Human Rights and Communications from London and pursued her career in the Humanitarian world moving to countries such as, Jordan, Palestine (OPT) and the UAE. Her experience in the field between, villages and refugee camps has allowed her to expand her knowledge in the field of impact and the importance of community feedback.
Her other interests and focus are women empowerment particularly in women & children in conflicted areas. She runs a platform to raise awareness called Survive For Women which was established while she was in Dubai and realised more so than ever that women were not able to discuss or talk to each other about mental and physical abuse and the challenges that come with it due to the social norms that tells us it’s a ‘taboo’. The platform serves as a place of awareness, love and motivation and handmade jewellery is made and sold and full profit goes to women she knew at the time who needed financial support to leave their relationships.
